My mom used to say the same about my brother.  She used to say that she refused to answer the phone from 8-3 everyday . 

I'm sorry you're having such a lousy birthday .  Any way to leave him at home and take yourself out to eat with girlfriends or go shopping?

Crazymama, no advice.  Just wanted to send you birthday wishes and gentle hugs.  I'm sorry for what happened today.

Yes it is my birthday, and yes, he got suspended for fighting and being defiant to a substitute teacher.  I do not know what to do.  I emailed his pdoc.  He told me about it yesterday, but his story is very different than the schools.  Who do I believe, his sense of truth is sometimes off.

I am not sure if this is a med problem, or a choice problem.  I am going with the latter for now.  I think that his friends started goofing off, and he took it to a whole new level and then a fight started.  I am so tired of this.  When I see the schools phone number come up on my cell phone, my stomach drops and I do not want to answer, but I do.

Have problems similar with my son. He presently is not on meds but has been diagnosed with ADHD. He just recently got suspended from the afterschool care program for having a major shoving and yelling match with a classmate.

I have also had the issue of the "substitute". Unfortunately, sub was not informed about my son and his disruptive and not attentive behavior caused problems.

I dread my email. The teacher, counselor & principal prefer to email me incidents.

As far as the "stories" goes...partial truth is usually told. Forgets to mention the fact that certain things that he might have done could have started the whole thing.

WHAT A ROTTEN BIRTHDAY,HOPEFULLY TOMORROW WILL BE BETTER,ALTHOUGHT NOW THIS MAY SOUND STUPIDthanks for the sympathy and positive thoughts.  My mom made us dinner, so that was nice.  I just do not know what to do some days.  He can be so kind and sometimes can also do the rudest things.  I guess I will keep going, because what else is there to do?  I will not give up on him, even when he drives me up the wall.

crazymama, how old is your son?

we recently had an incident where my 8 year old son said the f word to his teacher and they were talking about suspension.  I told the AP that we were currently working on the problem, through psychiatric means (something they themselves recommended) and he let it pass.  But I hear all your pain.
