have read several forums and really need some help i have a son who has just turned seven and has had problems at home and school with sitting still and disrupting the class but he is highly intelligent for his age. the only thing he has trouble with at school is writing, but this i mean has trouble forming some letters but can spell everything. often he will cry if told of or frustrated , is not voilent was a very good baby. He has impolsive tendencies and is hyperactive but can sit at a playstation/x- box and complete the hardest games that his 13 year old brother has hard time doing. Goes to bed well most nites, does sometimes wake up early (6am) but only occasionally but will say in his room watching tv or playing ganes. His teacher tells me he is a very popular child and has a wide range of friends, he is never aggressive and is very loving to his siblings. But they think that he may ADHD. This does run in our famliy, i have younger sister who has it, but they are so different. Also we have bi-ploar depression in our family and i have been told that ADHD and bi-polar run together, i am very confused and could do wiyh some ideas from people, he does take omega 3 oil
i would not take the teachers word for it,have him tested for your piece of mind but he seems that he can do things that an ADHD child can't.
