teenagers?
i'll double thati'll triple that motion!I just read a great new book by Anne Lamott called Plan B. What she writes about her teenager is a riot. I read it with my 11 year old son and he laughed with me. Forewarned is . . . .?
when her son is attitudinal she calls him "Phil" (his name is Sam.) Apparently she is going through menopause as he goes through teenage hood. Now that is scary. A great read.see sheri~it could be worse~we could have menopause?

all for young mommies!

oh laura you know you love teenagers...

you know you want a whole house full of them.the nickname i have for my teenager these days is 'mrs. unsociable'!

teenagers?Taking the car away works great with our 17 year old. It's better than grounding him (grounding him is more punishment for the rest of the family, as we have to listen to him). There is just something humbeling about having to walk or call his friends for a ride whenever he wants to go somewhere.

Son will be driving in next couple years, but for now taking away the video games for a day on weekends works like a charm. That's his big carrot. Attutude not as bad as it used to be or maybe I'm just used to it

. I do find he likes to throw in the odd swear word for shock value. Nothing a little time in his room won't solve. I ignore the minor swear words like damn.
see sheri~it could be worse~we could have menopause?
most likely i will be going thru menopause when dillon is a teenager

....god help us both..

omg.....that is awful, i forgot.....hopefully we'll still be here for support!

Remember they are all homones at this age. Social becomes more a issue to them than school is. No pass no play will help at this age. Take car away from highschool kids is a good consequence at that age. We just started the attitude thing with both our kids. I am glad this to shall pass one day.
