Hi,
My son is on Focalin. He started at 1omg which was ok at that dosage but when he was increased to 20mg, his personality changed. He went from my talkative little boy to a very quiet little boy. Doesn't even try to initiate a conversation, no smiles, just a totally different person. I liked the 10mg but it wasn't carrying over to his reading period (his trouble area). He will continue on 20mg until school is out in next couple of weeks and then we will try something else.
my son is 10 and has been on strattera for 3 years. it worked well until the start of school this year. we upped his dose to 35 and saw real improvment. then a couple of months later we were back to the same problems. we started on focalin. the first week was good but by the second week he was a horror at home. his school improvement was minimal so we took him off the focalin and just left him on strattera. the attention problems continued so we have now started adderal. he started three days ago. the first day was fine but he had a horrible second day at school. he said it felt like the medicine wore off by lunch even throught it is extended release. I do not want him to have to take two or three pills a day as well as the strattera. can anyone help me figure this out. i am deperate. he also tested slightly positive for ciliac on some blood work and we are looking at a glutun free diet. anyone heard this causes add symptomsWE USE DEPAKOTE ER.
