Concerta....Eye Blinking | ADHD Information

Share

My son has been on Concerta 36mg for about 4 to 5 months now.  At first it was working fine, now it seems not to be working quite as well.  Before Concerta he had a problem the best way I can explain it is when he wanted to tell you something, most anything it would take him forever to put it in words and would often get upset before being able to tell you what he wanted to say.  After Concerta, this has gotten better, but now he has problems with his eyes blinking.  Like a nervous habit but it is getting worse!  I brought him back to his dr because of it and she seems to think it isn't the meds just a nervous habit he has developed.  But it seems to be getting worse by the day!  She wants him to have an eye exam which he has an appointment for 5/5.

Should I be concerned that it is getting worse and bring him back into her, or should I wait until after the eye exam?

Thank you ahead of time for any help!

My son blinks his eyes and shrugs his shoulders.  I tis definatly a tic, however the tics were worse with Metadate.  We tried some bio feedback while on the metadate and the tic went away.  I think the biofeedback could be really helpful but there are not many to choose from where I live.
