Can't you have a school nurse or other official give him the second dose at school (it would probably just require a doctor to fill out a form authorizing it).
My son was in pre-school special ed since age 3 and this is his first year at Kindergarden. I would suggest asking for para-professionals to aid your son in his school year if you think he'll need it. My son's special ed pre-school had a 1:1 ratio and then he went into another special ed program where the ratio was about 1:10. Now he's in regular pre-school (ratio 1:25) but he has a paraprofessional assisting him whenever needed.
Well, it is not worth it.... He does not fall sleep until about 11:00pm, before that he was asleep by 8:30pm. On top of that everyday is a hassle to get him to swallow the pill, anyways, we stop. Also he was taking Tenex and that also does not help him much with the sleeping and I never saw a change in him even after 4 weeks, so we stoped that one too.
We are back to all good Metadate Cd. the only thing is that lasts only about 5 hours, since he is at school during the time to take a second dose, we are just taking one a day. It helps some. During the summer I will defenetely do 2 times a day..We do it on the weekends, if not ,,,,, HE DRIVES EVERYONE CRAZY !!! ... I am very afraid of what will happen in Kindergarten this fall, he has been in the School district special program since he was 3. Very small student-teacher ratio 4 to 1. Now...I think is like 16 or 20 kids per teacher in Kindergarten...and he does not do well with that many children. Time will tell.
