you might want to check the "alternative and complementary" section of this board.  lots of threads on your question.

Hi There:

I've been thinking about starting this with my daughter who just turned 6.  We've been using high efa's and also Neurolink and haven't really noticed anything.

A mom from my apraxia list-serve has her son on it.  I think he is in 3rd or 4th grade.  He was on stimulants before and did well but do to the heart warnings of the meds (he initially had heart problems already, I think) they took him off.

He started Brightspark in August and by the end of September his teachers said he was doing great.  No problems.  She said it has really worked.  Not quite as well as the stimulants, but a big enough difference to definitely note a difference for the good.

Hope this helps.  Can't hurt to try it.

Brigitte

Never heard of it.  But really there haven't been many "natural" remedies that show promise for children or adults with ADHD.  Mostly ephedra (banned in many places), omega fatty acids (inconclusive evidence to usefulness) and a handful of others.

Remember that just because something is "natural" it doesn't mean it's either better or safter.  Cyanide is 100 percent natural (you can find pools of the stuff in deserts around the world) but I wouldn't bottle it and sell it for anything.  Mercury used to be used as a natural antibiotic but we all know where that led.

Check the "alternative" forum for details on homeopathic remedies.  But the meds we are using (Ritalin, Adderall, etc.) do work for most and have been used safely for about half a century.  You may want to give them a chance.

Hello everyone. I am curious to know if anyone has had any experience with Natvie Remedies Bright Spark. It is said that it is all natural and claims to be very helpful with children that have ADD/HD. My son was diagnosed with ADD last year and I am very reluctant to start meds, but I know he needs help. I asked his doctor about it, but since she has no experience with holistic drugs she could not help me.
Does anyone here use it or know someone that does.

Thanks in advance,
SilverRain
