What are his qualifications? Does he have a PhD in psychology plus extra training in neurology?
For my children's neuropsych testing, we actually didn't go through a university or children's hospital (although lots of parents do). We went through a private firm that specializes in neuropsych testing. If you want to take a look at the firm's website, it's www.stixrud.com.
Hope that helps.
Thanks SmallMom,
Good luck, the waits can be long for such testing and the wait for the results can seem to drag out, but its worth it. Make sure when they give you a diagnosis they also give you a plan for the school. Something with recommendations on it for the school to modify your childs learning environment and or special classes for your child. That will help you mold an IEP or 504 plan for your child when you start the battle with the school. The school will require the documentation showing diagnosisin order to consider either option.
GOOD LUCK!!!!!
