ADHD with Bipolar???? | ADHD Information

Not Dx'd officially.  I plan on finally making an appointment with a psyc doc and getting started on treatment. 

I have looked at symptoms for both, and I have most of the symptoms for both ADHD & Bipolar without delusional / suicidal thoughts. 

I am not going to go into everything.  There is much stuff I am leaving out of this first post especially with the bipolar part. 

My biggest problem is on the job and the inability to focus or pay attention.  I cannot stay organized, concentrate on a task for more than a few minutes without drifting to something else, or feeling like I am in a fog and where everything seems scrambled and I can't think clearly and concentrate. 

I have been unemployed, gotten fired from many jobs over my career.  Treated like crap by coworkers & supervisors who I believe were hell bent in sabatoging me and using my weaknesses to get rid of me. 

Not unusual at all to have both.   There are a lot of us on the board who are bipolar/ADHD.  When I decided to come out of the bipolar closet, I discovered I was not alone on this board. I think many would be surprised at the number of pm's I received from others with dx of bipolar/ADD or ADHD.  Many people don't talk about it because of the negative stigma that goes along with it. 

Planing on making an appointment with pdoc and making one is two different things.  Don't procrastinate, go ahead and make the appointment now.  Let us know how it goes. cg
