needs help with son | ADHD Information

Try over on the alternative board...they have some good info on Omega 3s , magnesium, and also crawling exercises that is supposed to mature the STNR neck reflex....I don't think you're asking for a miracle and not everyone medicates (see the alternatives board). What kind of behaviors do you see? Many can be helped by certain techniques IF the problem is really just ADHD and not more. If he is raging, well, often that is out of the child's control and stimulants don't help that sort of behavior anyways. What is it that you see with your child? Do you see an improvement on the meds? Many people choose not to medicate their kids, but many DO medicate. It's not BAD to use medication if it works.

Hi, still new to site (2days)  It's been a Godsend.

I have a question,  can someone please tell me, if I decide to take my son of his concerta,  what I can do to help him deal. He's

been off and on med since 2nd grade. (he's in 8th now) I can't be the only parent who doesn't want to give my son drugs to deal with this. Evryone has always told he shouldn't be taking anything, but well, (they don't have the problems i do).

I really want to know the definition of "behavior modification". Everyone through's that term around yet  they can't give me an exact plan. My son's karate coach has, an it worked for a while but its soooo detailed that I don't even have time to deep up with it.    ( Time is always an issue isn't it)

Am I asking for a miracle? I just want 1 thing that will work for my son and have it stick.  I guess if I knew what it was, I would have a cure for this ADHD Looking forward to any help I can get.
