What is Soto Syndrome???  I have never heard of this, can someone enlighten me please??  And I agree with the other posters - this doctor has no right to do this to you.  Demand, call, call, be whatever pain in the neck you have to be - they are making you do this - and it's your child - not theirs.  Good luck.that's just so irritating......!  one of those things that make you throw your hands in the air and go AURUGHIISAREIGHIRUURURUUGHHGHGHGHG.   InABox I would call back...the ped said he would call you ...go ahead and be a pain in the neck until they respond...I would call and make a huge stink.  There's no way I could make it that long.... If the Dr. can't tell you over the phone maybe a nurse can.  But somebody needs too!!  That's just ridiculous....I would DEMAND that the doctor call you immediately.  If not, DEMAND a copy of the results, go in and pick them up, and find another doctor. So I've been waiting for the test results to see if my son has Soto Syndrome. His pediatrician told me that once the results arrived to her office, she would contact me with an appointment. So I waited and waited .. yesterday I decided to call HER. I was informed by the receptionist that the results HAVE come in and the pediatrician initialed them and requested them to be filed. Grrrrrr. Now I have to wait until mid-June to find out the results. This is soooo frustrating. I've waited for weeks already! Does this mean he DOESN'T have Soto Syndrome or what??Because the receptionist is unqualified to do so over the phone. I have to book the appointment with the pediatrician and she doesn't give results over the phone. Why won't they tell you over the phone...?No kidding, I agree with Oldermom.  Just flat out demand to know!LOL No Imac, I don't use that clinic.  I should give them heck!! .IMac38945.3447916667I would assume that since you didn't hear from her, everything came back ok. If I got there and found out differently, I would tell her what happened and that I was not very happy with her. I might even look for another dr if you can do that there in a decent time frame. It seems like they could have told you something.I tell you what, a lot of dr's don't even know their staff responds to patients this way.  I would be up at that office and tell them to "work you in" and that you "will not wait that long".  They can get off the phone, but they cannot run you out of the office.  Be careful with the time frame too.  Some insurance companies don't want to cover a medical condition if it takes you too long to get treatment for it, you can bet your bottom dollar the billing clerk will say you dropped the ball, not them.  This has happened to me, so it does happen.  If they give you any lip about it, demand to speak with the dr!!!  They can get off the phone "sorry, i got disconnected" but they cannot look you in the eye and tell you "too bad, you're going to have to wait."
Inabox, are they making you wait because the doctor is booked up, as usual, and she prefers to discuss the results in person?
Wow, thanks for your support everyone.  I'm not sure if the US operates differently but here in British Columbia, doctors don't discuss testing results over the phone.

Imac, the ped told me that once the results came into her office, she would call me to book an appointment. She didn't. I finally called her and was told that she had asked to file the reports - nothing more. They are fully booked so it'll take a month to see her.
