also-I use a book called "The ADHD book of lists" it is an excellent resource for school in a concise format.

Good-luck to you

I found a book that changed our lives.  "Why Can't My Child Behave" by Jane Hersey.  It really opened our eyes and now, we couldn't be happier! My son was only diagnosed about a month ago, so this is all pretty new to me. But does anyone have any suggestions on books that might be helpful to me or my son. I would really love to find one that would help me teach him how to relate to other kids. He is very depressed going to school, because he has no friends, and he desperately wants some. He just needs to learn how to read other kids, I think. But, any help would be appreciated, thank you in advance. Donna

Hi,

I have found THE GIFT OF ADHD (Lara Honos-Webb) to be a positive way to view our special kids.

Here are books I enjoyed.  "Parenting Children with ADHD 10 Lessons that Medicine cannot teach" by Vincent J. Monastra, phd

Another book I liked was "ADD/ADHD Behavior-change Resource Kit ready to use strategies and activities for helping children with Attention Deficit Disorder" by Grad L. Flick, phd

The Grad L. Flick book I loaned to my daughters teacher when she was in kindergarden since it had classroom tips for teachers in there and the district actually purchased their own copy.
