  http://groups.yahoo.com/group/the_other_staffroom/

It is for adults with ADD / ADHD involved in teaching children.
So that's

  • Learning Support Assistants / Teaching Assistants
  • People training to be teachers
  • People who tried teacher training but dropped out
  • People who used to be teachers but gave it up
If that's you, then please come join and share your story.
There's so many issues specific to teaching and having ADHD
and so little knowledge out there about it that we can find!

Unfortunately, the only way to let people check it out without joining is to make all messages publically readable, which means google will pick up and index everything said on the list.  Since some people might not want a casual google search on their name by one of their pupils to reveal that thay have ADHD, if the school does not know, it is set up so you have to join before you can read the messages.

But the good news is that there's no wait for someone to approve membership.  You can click 'join this group', read the messages and leave, all in a few minutes if that's what you want to do.
