Imac, sounded like a good idea to me and actually started to do that. Especially when I saw that the agenda lists all committee members by name. I thought to myself "This is worse than not knowing I was on the committee, not only did they know, but my absences had to be overwhelmingly apparent. The principal showed us the results of our plans and wanted to know how we could improve next year. I gave one idea, which is not even a new idea, but everyone acted like I was a frigging genious. I am freaking out a little because it was a little overwhelming. Ok, guess I should just go with it and leave the funny comments out. I am such a genious perhaps they only needed my one idea at the one meeting I attended.
The last part of the meeting the principal handed out certificates for those of us who had completed the 2 year term (2 year sentence is more like it) It has my name on it and says for outstanding service
There were only 3 meetings this year & 4 last year. Guess they didn't take roll. What I really think is that they had 3 teachers, 3 parents and I was their token para. Just having me listed on the agenda was probably enough.
Oh, and I checked my zipper before I got up to accept my award.
When I came inside from my duty this morning a co-worker pulled me aside and asked “Did you know your pants are unzipped and your blouse is on backwards?” Dang! Why didn’t anyone tell me my pants were unzipped before then? I had been outside greeting students and parents for 30 minutes! And how could she tell my blouse was on backwards? Yes the tags were in front, but to me the front and back look the same.
