Helpbut i do think the generic brands do differ slightly in terms of their 'carrying agents' or something and they tend to be cheaper. there was a post on it here at one point. i'll see if i can find it for you. but yes, i guess there might be differences between dexedrine/adderall/and generic dextroamphetamine. i don't know what they are tho! i would go back to your doctor and say you made a mistake - it's probably the easiest thing. and ask her to write the prescription for adderall instead. i would just be honest and say you didn't understand what she was asking and you feel much happier on the Adderall. you can always take the pills you have in - so that she can be sure you are not trying to 'double-up' or anything like that. good luck! ![]() i bumped up a topic for you --- under the title generic v. brand (should be just below this post on the thread). hope it helps some! i think so. this is what one site said: Adderall is a reformulated version and close cousin of the ADHD medication Dexedrine. Dextroamphetamine (Adderall, Dexedrine) is classified as Schedule II controlled substance. Thanks for the response. The reason I ask is because I have been taking adderall for several years. The last perscription I got, my doctors nurse wrote. She asked if I took the generic. I told her that was fine. She wrote the perscription for dextroamphetamine. I swear this stuff is not adderall. Does dextroamphetamine effect you differently? Is it stronger? All I know is a feel different |
