Concerta 36 MG - When to increase dosage | ADHD Information

Share

Hello,

just an update. Anyone start off with 18 mg increase to 36 then to 56?
I posted before about the 36 being too strong but now Im finding that its not having the same results. I am still not as focused as I want.  Just wondering if the doc will increase my dosage on Wednesday as it has been 6 weeks.

I've gone from 18, to 27, to now 36. I also thought 36 was to much in the beginning. I was hyper-focused on it, but 27 was to low. My doctor suggested I try the 36 for a week to see if it leveled out for me, and it did. I'm happy with it now. I think many people have to increase a good deal in the beginning while you find the dose that is right for you. Just make sure that you arent' chasing that feeling that you get in the first few days of a new med/dosage. It's a bit euphoric and never stays. If it's just that old behaviors and symptoms are resurfacing then you probably will need a dosage increase, but if you are chasing that initial feeling then that's not a great idea to keep going up
