Simple actions take 10 decisionsCan anyone else relate? "Shall I go out and buy a newspaper?" -Yes, go and find out what's going on in the world -No, you're trying to save money -Yes, a bit of fresh air will do you some good -No, you're trying to cut down on all the paper you use -Yes, there's a section in today which is usually really interesting -No, you can read it all online -A walk to the newsagent hardly counts as exercise, go for a bike ride instead -But its about to rain, better nip out now, & take a quick walk round the park, rather than get the bike ready and get soaked (the tyre's flat anyway) -Yeah, but I can't really be bothered. -OK then, I'll just make myself a cup of tea. -But you don't drink tea -Good point, maybe I will get a paper then. 20 minutes later.... At the newsagent: Which paper shall I buy? ...... I think this could go on all day!
LOL yeah! I will get to the tea part (except for me its coffee), start making it. Go start to fix the bike tire while the coffee is brewing............on the way to find a wrench in the laundry room, find that the laundry needs to go in the dryer............but there is wrinkled stuff in the dryer that has been sitting there 2 days, etc. Eventually I realize that I have a bike in pieces, wrinkled laundry all over the house and a now cold cup of coffee, then remember that I wanted a paper to read with that coffee, but now it's raining. Oh well. Amen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hey, are you spying on me? Ugh... That is SOOO me. Especially the part about getting outside. I feel incredibly guilty for not going outside, and then not wanting to, and how foreign it seems to me, like a bad sci-fi movie. It's better with medication for me, definitely. That is so funny
I do the same thing all the time, I have 2 ypunge children so I normally spot clean during the week and then in saturday i clean clean clean....but nothing ever gets done, I put a loan of laundry in the wash, go empty the dishwasher, the phone rings i sit down and watch a tv show ane then the washer buzzes so i get up put it in the dryer start a new load turn around and see the dishwasher door open strat emptying it again...ect ect . My husbands hates it when i spring clean because i there will be a huge mess more than what it started out to be But I have been told that I had ADHD as a kid but as an adult I just have depression my 5 year old is on Ritilian... I was never on meds as a kid. He he he, It is all sooooo true. |
