This does sound like a great day BPQW...my son is also learning to swim and wants to make it across but is not quite there...maybe by the end of the summer

I just had to share what a great day my son is having! He made it all the way across the pool at swimming lessons doing the crawl and the backstroke, and even managed to do the treading water (with only one dunk)! And when we got home he was picked up for his first "movie date" with two friends from school. He was so excited to be invited! Lord, now I'll have two hours of anxiety about his behavior while he's gone. Well, it is what it is. The good thing: the mom who is driving the boys is a title I specialist at our school, so she knows how to handle kids. Cross your fingers for him!
