Larry, try defining your search. For instance if you wanted to research blogging - dont just enter "blogging" in the search engine - enter "how to blog" or "blogging+how to". Add as many words you need to to make the results smaller.
Larry- I know what you mean! I do the same thing! Your list is a great idea! ksgcsg38248.8637962963Thanks for he ideas.
I am 42 and have adhd and have real difficulties using the internet constructively. I never get where I'm headed. lol.
I have to write down a list of what I want to 'google' and then I check it off as I go.
THEN, I allow myself some 'play' time and let my mind wander.
As someone who has to "manipulate" Google to help my business grow, I think they are way ahead in terms of search technology, and are generally the most relevant search engine out there.
There will always be a lot of spam to wade through in some subject areas, but it is a problem which affects anyone.
I think the real trouble to us ADDers is all the hyperlinks that are so easy to follow. Responding to something on TV usually at least means getting out of your seat, whereas on a web site, you just drag your mouse and click.
Forums are immensely distracting, but are also incredible sources of information.
Do you use Google? Google seems to work best for lots of people.
