I've read several posts where fellow ADDer's are taking another med in combination with Adderall or Ritalin to counter a comorbid condition of anxiety and/ or depression.
I have ADD and have had panic attacks in the last couple years. I tested farily high on anxiety and was wondering what your experience has been with a combination of meds. An recs on what I should ask the psychiatrist for?

I take Adderall and the Doctor also added Lexapro, 10mg, for anxiety and moodiness. Seems to be working really well. Lexapro is an anti-depressant, and (I think) is also an anti-anxiety med. I recently started taking Adderall XR, and when my dose was increased to 25mg, I started clenching and grinding my teeth, and noticed an increase in anxiety. The doctor put me on 75 mg of Wellbutrin, and this seems to counteract the anxiety.Adderall and Lexapro here too. And yes, Lexapro is anti-depressant and anti-anxiety.I take adderall xr and effexor. It doesnt cause an extreme difference, but if I forget to take the effexor and just take the adderall I can tell by the way I feel later in the day. I guess it helps, but dont expect the effects of ritalin or adderall to just gradually wear off without you knowing it.
