This goes along more with haveing asd. Lots here I believe may be miss dxed. Attention problems don't run alone. Look at comorbid conditions. Thanks for the tips everyone. I started calling language centers and found one that starts in the fall in my town. Also, I looked on the schools website and it says they have a therapist who does social skills classes (school is closed now), so that looks promising also.My daughter is recieving social skills  help called "play therapy" done right at the school.   It is part of her IEP.Unfortunately I don't have any friends with special needs kids (I just come here), and I have not had any contact with these parents at the school yet. He's just been in the mainstream class so far. But thanks for these tips, now I have more possibilities to explore. There has to be something here.Ask your school psychologist and the special ed office in your school district.  Also try local Mental Health clinics that specialize in children. Some of the social skills classes in our area are through:  a social services agency, a developmental pediatrician's office, a speech and language pathology agency that runs tutoring, reading programs and social skills groups, and an educational testing agency.  Don't limit your search to ADHD kids -- social skills groups generally encompass a lot of different diagnoses.  There is also a booklet published in our area of special needs resources.  Do you have any friends with special needs kids who migth be able to point you in the right direction?

I saw one advertised and it was through private speech and language.  Here is a book that might help if you cannot find a class

I've been searching for social skills classes for elementary school age children with ADHD. I searched online and in the yellow pages under every topic I can think of. The closest I could locate was at a childrens' hospital 50 minutes away at a really inconvenient time which might start in the fall. Does anyone have any ideas on tracking down one of these classes?
