I would like to stop Concerta during summer vacation but I'm wondering if stopping Concerta overnight is a good thing. Is there a weaning effect? if Yes, what sould I expect?
I noticed if I don't give him a day he is worse than before taking medication and I think it is because weaning.

I stopped taking my meds after 6 months or so and it has really messed me up. I have been feeling sick for almost a week now. I highly recomend talking to the doctor to make sure you do this without making yoursself sick.Our Doctor is weaning our son off Concerta (from 27mg to 18mg to hopefully 0). I tried cold turkey a few months back (on the weekend) and it was a COMPLETE NIGHTMARE - FRIGHTENING (and Dangerous). We are in the midst of switching medications in which Concerta is losing it's miraculous effects... Our Doctor STRONGLY urges weaning.
