how can i tell if my ritalin is working? | ADHD Information

Hi all, I'm new here. 

I just got diagnosed and I am trying out ritalin.  Thing is, I don't know if it is working or not.  Sometimes I am convinced that it isn't working, and sometimes I am sure that it is doing something.  So, how do I tell?  Am I expecting too much from just 5mg?

I am on 5mg, and after my first dose, I had a few moments where I felt that my mind was very clear, like I was paying attention with less effort.  However, I also could have just been imagining that, because that was what I was really hoping to feel like.  I have now moved up to 10mg, and I still am not sure if it is doing anything.

the doc told me other people will notice changes before me.

hello i am on my fourth day of retilin.

i don't notice a difference yet except after my first pill in the morning,i have a lot of energy and don't need coffee as much but before  my next one i just feel really drained.nothing exept from that.i am on 10mg 3 times a day.

what is your dx and how did you feel after you took your first dose.?
