Concerta Side Effects
My son has switched from taking Adderall XR 30 mg to Concerta. This happened just recently. He has experienced quite a bit of heartburn. Has anyone else experienced this? Just curious. We are watching this and will be reporting side effects to his psych.

Yes my son had heart burn when he first started Dexamphetamine - but after about a month he stopped complaining about it - so I guess it settled down.Interesting. I would definitely talk to your son's doctor. Has your son ever complained of heartburn before? Perhaps another medication would be more "comfortable" for him. In actuall fact - the doctor just recomended lowering the dose - and this seemed to work. my son has been on concerta for 2 years. He always complained of some mild stomach upset.....and recently has become worse. He went from being a kind of pudgy little boy to extemely lean.
