Focalin XR | ADHD Information

Hello, I have just started taking Focalin XR today (10mg) and looking around to see if anyone has had any previous experience with the drug. As for me, I think I do feel as if I am concentrating better than I normally do and for once and I am definitely getting tasks completed.

Anyway, if you have ever taken Focalin, please let me know how it was along with other information such as how long you have taken it, dosage, and so on.

I'll try to look around the forum for anything about this drug but I feel as if it's fairly new.

My son has been on it for about a year.  He is 18 and takes 20 mg in the morning along with 450 mg Welbutrin.  He is also 6'5'.  He has consistently complained that it stopped working about 2-3:00.  His doctor last week added 10 mg to be taken at 2-3:00 p.m..  We will see how this goes.  Focalin has made a complete change in his life.  Nothing to this point had worked.  Up to this point he had failed at least one class a semester. This semester he had a 3.3 GPA and graduated from high school.

It is fairly new. Only 2-3 years old I think.

My DD takes it and is doing well. She's on 15mg right now.

My 4 1/2 yr old has been taking focalin XR since he was three.  He takes 5mg and has never had a single side effect.  He has also become a fantastic kid.  We are big fans of focalin xr at our house.
