Interruptions -- Funny | ADHD Information
Last week at a family function, one of the kids came up to me and said "every time I turn around Cody is following me and talking to me!" He was very frustrated. It was hillarious, because I feel that way a lot.Sometimes DS can drive me insane with his constant interruptions of everything, but last night he just cracked me up.
There we are, supposedly settling down for the night (!) and I'm reading a Junie B. Jones story about Hawaii and volcanoes and I feel a tap on my shoulder. DS (he's 7) says, very seriously, "Mom, did you know that the giant ground sloth is extinct!?"
Well, no, I didn't know that, son.
Where do these things come from?
It was all I could do to finish reading the chapter without giggling the whole time.
When there's and "ADD moment" at our house, one of us says: "I have ADD. I saw a sloth once. Do you like toast?"
My husband calls something like that "shifting gears without a clutch."
geez, maybe I have adhd. My mind is constantly changing directions like that! My husband always makes fun of me that I can come up with some crazy statement. Of course to me I know exactly how my thoughts ended up in left field, but my husband can't follow me!
I always thought my sons adhd came thru my side of the family!
