why?
Good question Micheal.... i'd like to know why too. It seems a bit strange. is this for a cocktail drug or what?
Hi Paul i'm sure i read somewhere that 10mg of Ritalin = 5mg of Dexamphetamine (Dexadrine) but don't quote me on that.
I do know for sure that both meds are similar, but work in a different way to combat the ADHD. In any case if you or someone you know is considering changing, mixing or adjusting their meds it is always best to do so under medical supervision. These meds are quite hard on the body and can be very unforgiving at times
Like the guys above i also am curious as to why you ask as playing around with different meds or creating a drug cocktail can be quite dangerous.
I will try and find where i saw the conversion and post a link back here. Please read other posts on the forum as there is a wealth of information available, as well as other peoples experiences both good and bad that will also help you out.
For those who are interested in what meds are available, and all their info including dosage, effects this link might be helpful:

This may have been put up on the board elsewhere as well, but this might help compare dosages between the 2 meds.
Hope this helps.
Thanks everyone for your help.
Please help I'm trying to figure this out and I know someone must know off the top of their head.
10mg of Dex. is equal to 20mgs of Ritalin.....etc. Dex is twice as potent as Ritalin..........
Also, Adderall is three times as potent as Ritalin, and twice as potent as Dex. Example: 10mg of Adderall is equal to 30mgs of Ritalin and 20mgs of Dexedrine.
Hope that helps
Also, in sustained-release pills (doesn't matter what kind) cut that dose in half and that is what you are actually getting.............example
20mgs of RitalinSR is equal to 10 over a longer period.
