My son's doctor didn't want him to take Adderrall to college (he will be a freshman) and gave him a RX for Focalin. He was on Adderall 15 mg and she prescribed Focalin 15 mg. Some of the information I have researched says you should start out at 1/2 of what you were taking on Adderall. Has anyone else heard this? Has anyone made the switch at this mg?

I ran across this dosing chart on the Internet and saved it. It does seem to be a 1 to 1 ratio when switching from Adderall to Focalin.
What you might be thinking of is Ritalin to Focalin. For whatever amount of Ritalin you are on, you should dose at 1/2 that in Focalin.
