My son scored ADHD on Connors. He has Autistic Spectrum Disorder, not ADHD, but ASD and bipolar kids also score as ADHD on the test. It's not very accurate. You need a NeuroPsych for a good evaluation, not a list of questions (really!) :)ogram
thank you
thank you
thank you
for saying what all of us want to say to oldtimer
thanks for your reply.my grandson has alot of behaviour problems.i have been pushing for the last 2yrs.the hospital who my grandson is under has sent me and the school the conners test to see which of the questions is high in score. What do you mean if that's about right? The Conners test is a test for ADHD and other behavioral issues - it helps pinpoint where the behavioral problems are. Depending on which part he scored highest in, the diagnosis will be different. (there are different forms of ADHD). It sounds like he scored high enough to be considered 'ADHD', but I'm not an expert. The people who gave him the test should tell you what it means - in fact, you're entitled to a full explanation.
This is a joke question list. Kids today are either considered hyper or not. I think some are getting this label who are really just normal kids or really have another disorder really. We were explained nothing on this at all. Staff no nothing about spd either. The computer test will not work well if you have spd. Most the stuff school told us we already knew about. School staff quit trying to dx kids this isn't your job. The best thing i was told here was see a np. We are following that advise. Appt. July18.
don't you have any thing positive to say? Every post i read from you is so negative it is starting to sound like you are a troll. you used to be easy and laid back, now you seem angry and negative about every thing! Please, try to keep a positive attitude. Negativity and anger is a learned behavior, so I sure hope you are not like this with you child.
I am sure you can say SOME THING positive. Please, try to. keep the moral up. we are all here to help, not hinder. blaming other and being so angry is not healthy for you, your family unit, and your blood pressure.

If you ask them to, it is.
I wouldn't get worked up about a Conners test. It's completely subjective. It's only as valuable as you think it is. Kids with conditions other than ADHD score on that test. Just because a teacher fills out a Conners report showing your kid is off the charts doesn't mean he/she has ADHD.
