thanks for that, makes a little more sense now, but have to say not much.

Never giveup. We complain until it happens. We had to go to Se director to get for Daniel what he really needed. with oldtimer, not much ever makes sense.  lmao

And Oldtimer, why post it here? This is for article & book discussion. If you want to be helpful post in the ADHD School issues and how about telling all the steps you took to get where you are. That may be helpful.

Good points.  That is what you should be saying!!  It's that most of the posts make no since and it is very frustrating.  There are so many complaints from you and/or you dh that a large portion of the adhdnews population see it as troll like behavior.  You cannot just say, "complain" and expect the rest of us to under stand what the heck you mean.  we can not read minds and if you are wanting to help some one or want help for your self, you have to be more aggressive and say what you mean and mean what you say.  Go back and read what all was read over the last few weeks from you.  Most are very harsh, troll like behavior and make little since and blames every one for your son's problems.  That is where my hostility is.  One post particular still ticks me off.  you complained all about the school.  i replied and you never followed up.  Which leads many people to believe that you don't want to help, you just want  a place to display your negative attitude and sorry, but we really don't need any more negativity, we need help and optimism.

We like action, not complainers.

Well, we all know you complain.  You do most of it here.I say my not giving up got Daniel what he needed didn't it. I have never believed in trying to make a circle learner fit in to a square learner. If I had not continued this way Daniel  would of gave up. He said he was going to. Sorry you see me as a complainer. I go after what I want till I get it. Sorry ogram you dislike me. If parent's didn't fight for what they think was in the best for their child most kids would drop out.SE director told me many parents careless what happens with there Se kids. I do!Like I said working with school was no help at at all. I got what He needed by going to  the Se director. I see it way different than you all do here. I see a Ld kids need a different curriculum than non Se kids. Modification sometimes isn't the right choice for kids either. Our son has been difficult since birth. I chose a Np cause I disagree with his dx since attention problem don't run alone. He started his therapies at age 1. I  look at ld people as needing something different than regular people. Daniel doesn't get anything his regular teachers say. We have had to reteach it all at home. The easy ways! If  he had been left in regular classes he would of quit later down the road.Says he was going to already. He is only 10. He hates school where he has been. I am trying the self contained in hopes to see his attitude about school change. There he gets a school program set up to suit him. Yes he still has a iep.

I was just having a wee scan, i'm new to board and add, and sometimes slow on the up take but reading a lot of this stuff makes my head birl
