I have been on Straterra for 3 years and built up a tolerance. I was switched about 2 months ago to Adderall xr-I started out at 10 and built up to 40. Since I have started taking Adderall XR, I feel like I am going crazy-like I am running late, can't find my keys and someone is scratching their nails down a chalkboard. I prefer to be alone and my sex drive has gone to zip. Is this normal? Will it pass? Anyone else been there?
i went from the adderall 10xr to the 20xr increasing 5 mgs a month and i experienced tolerance build-up half way through the 15s then halfway through the 20s.then i was switched to 30ir taking half a pill four hours apart. the ir may be a way to go since it kicks in faster and you can regulate when to take the second half. i'm currently on the 20ir twice a day and my ability to start and FINISH a project has increased dramaticly! although my focus hasn't increased as much as my impulsiveness has decreased. for the ir i use my pill cutter and sometimes go 15,15,10 on days i work longer hours, or i might not even take the last 10 if i can do without. as far as sex drive i have noticed a drop-off there too.i have an appointment todaywith my psych. so i think i might ask him to start me on 45s or maybe on dexedrine. i hope everything turns out ok!!
Once with Adderall I had to take a break from it because I was so crabby.
Can you reduce your dose for a short time to see if that helps?
yeah, im a 25 year old student; i take 10mg+ 5mg a day, but at times, i wont take the extra 5mg...it is an essential drug for those who need it..
Although Adderall worked better for me than any other stimulant has, it too made me such a crab that I couldn't even stand myself.Thank you all so much for just responding. It helps me know that someone is actually listening to me!
