my_angels38909.6171643519Hi Debbie the signs well to be honest we were a bit blind to our son Judes signs saying things like oh hes just a boy and boys are slower than girls . Anyway it was our healthvisitor who first noticed Judes Hyperactivity and lack of focus / concentration, Jude was very agressive and had a lack of co-ordination. When he started nursery he started lashing out and became obsesive with toys and some people. So after that we went to see a doctor and after ten (after Jude trashed her room and sat with the bucket on his head) minuits in the doctors ofice she said she thought jude had ADHD so refered him to a child phsy who in tern refered Jude to the READEN CENTE here in Aberdeen for evaluation.
If in doubt ask your doctor making a diary to tell the doctor also helps him / her build a picture.
I know everyone is different .Hope this helps a bit my dear.
I noticed that my son talks a lot, chews on things, interrupts conversations, talks loud and is in your face, and is bossy with others.
All of the mothers are correct. Sometimes the signs and symptons are right there in front of you and other times they are so far out there that they are hard to notice that there is a problem and your best bet is to speak to a medical professional about it. But some signs from my child was talks alot, obsesses about everything, seems to not understand no but yet you know he does, if he gets his mind set to something it has to happen or he has to say it, you can not sit still but yet if its the tv he seems to concencentrate really well, very much in your face talking instead of giving you your space, he is loud, the list can go on and on. Hopefully you have got some answers here.hi
every child is different and not all signs / symptoms are present, its best to keep a daily diary of your childs behaviour and if he is at school you could ask his teacher to do the same to see if there are any different behaviours between home and school, maybe if you have someone who babysits or regulary looks after him they could do one too, this is what we do and it does help.
With Frankie I knew from when he was a baby that there was something wrong with him, he was my 3rd child and different from the others but it took two years fighting my health visitor and Dr to agree there was a problem and even when they referd us I dont think they believed he had anything wrong with him.
