Does anyone have a recommendation for a doctor in Indianapolis that treats adults with ADHD?
Look at all the university hospitals in your area with a psych department. I've never heard of a Psychiatrist who doesn't treat ADHD. They are pretty much the only ones who can initially prescribe stimulants. (if that is required) However, at some point your family doctor will take over the month to month appointments. Ask your family doctor if he knows a psychiatrist who "isn't a beard scratcher" (a doctor told me that so maybe it's some sort of secret lingo.) You don't want 6 months of expensive consoling sessions. The more information you have about your problems, the more sure you can be of getting the right help.
