I thought I would let you all know, if you didnt already, that you can get SSI for a child with ADD or AD/HD, along with medicare. I know how exspencive it can get, doctors, classes, Meds,speech, occupational or LD programs through the hospitel and so on........ In some States ( Florida) you can even have your child go to private schools that will consentrate on them and their needs. And it is free! You have to be pro-active. The government doesnt want to hand out stuff to these kids, even if they are the future and are sick. So, look up all these programs in your local school district web-site. read everything! I found that i could have my LD kid go to the camp of his choice this summer and the school district pays for it. So he went to summer camp for two weeks to the science center at the tune of 5 a week. I never would have know, had I not asked and read everything!
