LcDc do you men that you have difficulty sleeping? Does Concerta work well? My son's doctor has mentioned it. What type of med is Wellbutrin?

I was recently diagnosed and take Adderall XR and Wellbutrin.  I occasionally see a therapist to work on coping skills.I take Ritalin and Wellbutrin, and I eat a diet that's high in protein, moderate in fat/carbs, and includes a vide variety of foods.

I did notice a difference when I improved my diet, especially after I began eating lots of protein. There was an improvement in my overall mood and mental clarity. But it wasn't even remotely close to being a "cure", or even making a significant difference in my everyday life.

Medication, on the other hand, has made an immediate, profound, and sustained improvement in my life. The effect isn't: "Well I think I might be doing a little better, I seem to be a little bit clearer today." It's more like "HOLY CRAP, I can actually think straight and get things done for a change!"

Before I was formally diagnosed, I tried reading self-help books, listening to meditation/hypnosis CD's, making various dietary changes, taking vitamin supplements, St. John's Wort, gingko, rhodiola rosacea, ginseng, and various others. I probably don't have to explain how all that worked out...

I have adhd and deal with it only with Concerta.  Off and on counseling is also something I do when I get off track.  I want to try some natural supplements, but get so confused with all the information that is out there.  I definitely would like to try some natural remedies to assist having uninteruppted sleep - I am very active sleeper!!

I have had adhd since I was a little child.  It was called something else and often misdiagnosed when I was young.  I am glad it is recognized and identified these days and parents have options on how to approach it.

.IMac38944.5699884259I have AD/HD. I was undiagnosed until just recently. I take Concerta, and am very happy with it.

Are there any adults out there with ADHD? Do you take meds or natural supplements or both? Or do you deal with your ADHD in a different way? I don't have ADHD but my son does. I can't relate to what he is going through.
