those parents with kids on strattera | ADHD Information

When we did Strattera, we also started at the lowest and then titrated up to therapeutic levels.The kids I have met use a stim/strattera also. Strattera is weight based. Has to be used daily also. It made Daniel behave worse is why we stopped it. we will see have it goes with josh,he has 7 days of 10 mg,then 7 days of 18mg and then 25,so as long as it goes good,but if it makes behavior worse we will stop,thanks for the info

Your son's target dose is 25 mg.  Your doctor is doing what is recommended -- start low and build up to the target.  It generally takes 4 to 6 weeks to see any positive results with Strattera.

i was wondering what the starting dose was when starting strattera,my son psych started him on 10mg  for 7 days then 18mg for 7 days,is this about right for a beginning.my son is 7 and weighs a whopping 40 lbs.
