Ritalin LA | ADHD Information

I have just started Ritalin LA...I'm sure hoping it will be the one. Adderall made me crabby (er) and mean too. How old is your daughter? I did not like it at all. Dry mouth, comatose feeling, weight gain. The only way it helped me with irritability was my numbing me so I didn't care about anything. I am on Lamictal now with good results so far....My daughters pediatrician is starting her on Ritalin LA and I was wondering if anyone has had success with this drug?  She has taken focalin xr and adderall xr.  These made her very irritable.  He said if this works, we may give her a second dose in the afternoon or give Deptakote (mood stabilizer) if she has irritablily issues with this as well?  Does anyone have any experiences with this mood stabilizer?  ThanksShe is 9 yr old.  We are starting meds in the morning.  Keep your fingers crossed.My son takes ritalinSR. The Canadian version of LA. He is off meds for the summer. The Ritalin works much better then the Dexedrine SR for him. He got rebound from the regular ritalin.
