Excellent read! Very eye-opening! Discusses the fact that today's children do not get outside enough. They have very little experience with nature compared to past generations. Also discusses ADHD in relation to this problem.
Beckysmom39233.4909722222I haven't read the book and probably will not, I will wait for the summarized version.
But, in general I agree that the youth of today do not get out in the woods enough or enjoy things in nature that may disappear in their life time!!!
My kids go with me to the woods and we enjoy hikes and nature, they love it. I can tell on days that they don't get outside and are not active that their whole demeanor is kinda dragging!!!
There is so much to offer outdoors!!!
Is this whole book abou ADHD or just some of it?Hey, It has to be a good book!
It mentions Nebraska in Chapter One. (Where I live)

We live in the woods, my child prefers it outside than inside. He is a nature freak, so am I and his father. I don't even know whay I have TV.....I'm either working, outside, or on the puter!
I agree......the outside is a GREAT place for kids, not inside watching TV, or on the puter! It all has it's place, more outside than in though.

The book is not about adhd per say. More about children not spending enough time out in nature and it's connection to problems such as adhd.
