Hello, My 6 1/2 yr old son has ADHD w/ anxiety. We say the dr. today and he was put on 1 mg of Tenex 1/2 tablet 1x daily. Has anyone ever been prescribed this and what was the experience. My son was on Medadate CD 20 mg 1x daily but he was an emotional mess by 3pm.
yes, my son is also on Metadate 20mg cd. He was on tenex too but unfortunately it did not work for him, it disrupted his sleep and it did not do anything for his behavior.
What we do is give him another 20mg of metadate @
1-2pm when he is at home, otherwise he would have to go to the nurse at school and I am trying not to go that route. You can give him a short acting Ritalin like 5mgs or 10mgs @ 3pm too.
Short acting ritalin did not work for our son either though, but for someothers it works very well.

If another 20mg in the afternoon is too much for him then you can try 10mgs @ 1pm of the metadate cd
