Disturbing Posts | ADHD Information

 It's disturbing to come here for help, like just about everyone else, and read posts that are insulting. I'm sure everyone wishes their kid didn't need to take any meds. The doc appts, prescription prices, etc...aren't FREE, not to mention they're very time consuming.

 

  And I've heard of "using the TV as a babysitter", but pills ?! Now I've heard everything.

 

 

$IMac38944.5255324074Mere are you referring to older posts?  We had at one time people on the board that caused such ruckus and attacked and accused others, they were banned afterwards due to complaints.  We unfortunetly get them occasionally.  Welcome aboard this is a good support board.

Would you please let me know what threads you are talking about.  I'd like to take care of this matter right away.  i do know of some NEW members that also have been offended and left here because of some harassing members.  pm me and i'll take it up with the owner/administrator.

Welcome to the board and I know this is easer said than done, but try to over look rude and obnoxious people.  Most of us are the good and loving and really just want to help.  Glad you felt comfortable enough to share it, we need more members like you that are not afraid to speak out.

  It's not my intention to get anyone kicked off the board. I was just trying to air my feelings in a playful manner.

 

  In general, I normally try to ignore the trolls/obnoxious people that at first glance, appear to come here offering *helpful* advise, but only use the board to say negative comments towards the parents that use meds to help treat their kids disorders.

 

  I'll PM you just the same, but I think the person I'm referring to is relatively harmless. The other members here addressed her post really well, so I didn't even respond to her post.

I was sorta nasty to her and smacked her around a little bit  You all forgive me, right?

I didn't mean to chase her away, but I didn't want anyone to assume that we were a) drugging up our kids so we could have it easier or b) someone assuming we were uneducated and sheep-like.  If I did wrong, tell me and I'll try harder to contol myself in the future!

Yes, it is very annoying when we have "trolls" hanging around.  Unfortunately, it comes with the territory.  But I also think that for the most part they have good intentions but are rather misguided if they think insulting someone is going to change anybody's mind.  Just ignore 'em!
