Ray-ray - if you can't at least pretend to be civil pop back in your spider-hole okee dokee??  Chill out

Yes we are lucky in the 1st world.  I don't see my problems to be much in the whole aspect of life.  I have a great job, wonderful woman and now am back on the mend mentally and physically.

I don't have overwhelming debt.  I don't hear voices.  I don't have to beg on the street for the next meal.

There are many things worth complaining about in life.  ADHD really doesn't hit the top 1000.

Ray-Ray

It's about not taking ourselves too seriously and being grateful for what we have.

but what IF  I dont give a f**k!!!

so i should be conent just b/c others are worse off?

Amen - I tell myself when I get down that things could always be worse!!!  This kinda puts our ADHD problems in perspective, doesn't it?

If you woke up this morning
with more health than illness,
you are more blessed than the
million who won't survive the week.

If you have never experienced
the danger of battle,
the loneliness of imprisonment,
the agony of torture or
the pangs of starvation,
you are ahead of 20 million people
around the world.

If you attend a church meeting
without fear of harassment,
arrest, torture, or death,
you are more blessed than almost
three billion people in the world.

If you have food in your refrigerator,
clothes on your back, a roof over
your head and a place to sleep,
you are richer than 75% of this world.

If you have money in the bank,
in your wallet, and spare change
in a dish someplace, you are among
the top 8% of the world's wealthy.

If your parents are still married and alive,
you are very rare,
especially in the United States.

If you hold up your head with a smile
on your face and are truly thankful,
you are blessed because the majority can,
but most do not.

If you can hold someone's hand, hug them
or even touch them on the shoulder,
you are blessed because you can
offer God's healing touch.

If you can read this message,
you are more blessed than over
two billion people in the world
that cannot read anything at all.

You are so blessed in ways
you may never even know.

I think that is lovely, and since my father went into a wheelchair I have learnt to be grateful for what I have!!

                                          IF

I don't have to struggle to remember where things are,

I can remember to go to my doctors appointments to keep my health

I can groom myself without a daily struggle

I can keep a job, a checkbook,  the love and acceptance of my family

If I don't want to kill myself out of loneliness and frustration,

Then you are better off than the people who have ADD.

I sorta agree with ray ray...

Hey, I held up my laptop on the street with the message:

Will work for food.

Is that begging?

I thought it was creative.

Creatively funny.

I still laugh about it.

Maybe Rayray hears voices.

I do, sometimes.

They seem to come from the TV in the corner...

Oh, and when someone is talking to me.

Wait just a dog gone minute!  Nobody ever said that ADHD doesn't suck.  I'm sure we could all make very long lists of how it sucks, when it sucks and for how long it has sucked!

The point is...(what was the point?)....oh, the point is to get off yer sorry self pitying ars and make the best of what you have!

We ADHDers have wonderful qualities that most "normal" people don't have.  If we harness them and get some structure in our lives then ....look out world!!

Don't loose the determination that is so great in you...you know what I'm talking about.  We are the masters of determination and getting back up and not giving up!  We just need some encouragement sometimes....so that's what this is!!  We NEED  to encourage each other !!

YOU CAN DO WHATEVER YOU PUT ON YOUR HEART AND MIND TO DO....(make your daily to do list and don't forget your meds.!!)

Pain is pain whatever form it takes. Feeling guilty because your life went better than someone elses is stupidity.

Doesn't mean I don't agree with you all, it is far more productive to mainly focus on what is good. Focusing mostly on the bad is natural but stupid. Of course, if you deny what is bad simply because someone else has it worse you are my definition of a fool.

Nay-sayers in here need to lighten up, others need to get more realistic.

I have ADHD.

I would rather have ADHD than be blind or deaf, be homeless or in prison, have no family or friends actually, having ADHD really isn't that bad when you consider all the other things to be inflicted with.

I had chronic eczema when I was at school, that was far harder to deal with than my ADHD. If anything my ADHD came in handy.
