NOONE UNDERSTANDS!!!!!!!!!!   WHY AM I FEELING OUT OF MY BODY??? WHY DO I FEEL LIKE IM NOT FULLY HERE???!!!  YEAH I WENT TO A DOCTOR HE SAID IT WAS THE WITHDRAWAL FROM THE AMPHETMINES AND THE TYLENOL PM MIXED PLUS I AM NOT  ADHD!!!!!!!  AND I DON'T CARE IF I ALREADY TYPED THIS ALONG TIME AGO! I WANT SOME ANSWERS.. HAS ANYONE EVER FELT THIS OUT OF BODY FEELING LIKE YOUR SLIGHTLY NUMB AND IF YOU TOUCH SOMETHING COLD YOU FEEL IT STING YOUR SKIN..  DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT THE HELL I AM TALKING ABOUT?? ITS KIND OF LIKE THE FEELING WHEN YOU GET STONED OFF YOUR ASS BUT NOT THAT WORSE. JUST SLIGHTLY NUMB LIKE YOU FEEL EVERYTHING.  AMPHETAMINE IS A DRUG.

Maybe the first thing you should try is not taking any medication or drugs at all, (scripts, OTC, B-12 shots...) .  Then you have a sober place to start and compare to??  If you can't do that them I'm guessing theres addiction issues and who knows what else ( SELF MEDICATING FOR SOMETHING), but no way to tell until your completely cleanMy doctor told me that the Adderall does not have to be taken daily and it will only remain in your system for up to 12 hrs. depending on your metabolism. It does not need a tapering off per a good friend who is also a pharmacist.

Amphetamines can be addictive if not used correctly. You may need to lower your dosage. I would see a neurologist for your sensitivity issues. It sounds as though something else is going on. Trust me I speak from experience. Doctors thought I had a stroke, but it ended up being Multiple Sclerosis. It affects my entire left side and the sensitivity was altered.

Good Luck.

if you are not ADHD,why does the doc prescibes you adderal?IMac38942.9739351852Cat you have to go to rehab. You dont take adderall if it isnt prescribed for
you and you dont have adhd. you can really hurt yourself doing that.IMac38942.9743171296i started dex but comming off it felt like i was going crazy...is that becaudse im realizing how it feels like to be focused then comming off i feel it help?yeah some people are able to handle the rebound affect (crash) very simply while others find it extremely irritating. No, we understand. You are taking uppers and downers and you have no reason to take these drugs.  You are not adhd.  You are not taking drugs for a condition.  One has to wonder.  Why the heck are you taking drugs????  Perhaps you should consult an addiction doctor.   Do you drink alcohol as well?Sparco38935.8125925926 [QUOTE=cat31548]

cat - i kinda understand.  i think.

i went through a very similar thing after i had had some pot in canada once and i don't know whether it was laced with something or was just a whole lot stronger than i had ever had before.

in general, i tended to stay away from anything like pot or similar because my brain seems so close to the edge as it is - i don't want to go near something that will tip it over.  i had already been through a psychosis just from my own brain absolutely no drugs or similar involved, so i have always made an effort somewhat to avoid them but i put myself in that stupid position where i almost accepted it to be polite!!!!!  (ridiculous now i think about it - but i just thought it was vaguely harmless as i had smoked a few times before at University with no ill effect - and so not to worry about it).

result was i absolutely started to zone in and out - like the volume was being turned up and down on the sound of everyone around me and almost like i was coming closer and going further away from the scene visually too.  i wanted to lie down (i was on a boat!) and all i could see were these pink cartoon characters!!!  and i felt very trapped and unsure - well enough about that - it stopped after a couple of hours or so and i was fine if a bit shaken and had made a complete fool of myself at the same time.

but afterwards i felt CONVINCED that i had radically, irredeemiably changed.  i talked a lot to my friends about it, convinced that my soul had left my body and that i wasn't the same person any more and all sorts of stuff.  and they constantly reassured me that i WAS the same, that it was impossible for my soul to leave my body.  but this went on for months with me.  it just did.

but in the end they were right.  you are the same person.   the ritalin has gone out of your system by now.  it just HAS.  your body has metabolised it.

get yourself checked out, of course.  but i think, for you, just talk it out with your friends you'll see you are the same and although i hate to say it and i don't mean to dismiss you --- the tingling etc. is probably more psychosomatic than anything.  it doesn't mean it is not feeling real to you - the mind is an incredible thing.  but it is YOU creating it not anything else probably.

don't panic.  you are the same.  you are not damaged.  you are fine.

somebody just has to mention the word coldsores (actually i'm not sure that you use that word in the States - but you know the little spot-things that form on the corner of some people's mouths.  we call them coldsores here in the UK) --- and i start to feel the corner of my mouth tingling and i have NEVER had one in my life!!!!

just don't panic.  i am sure you are fine and i am absolutely sure that you have already metabolised the ritalin.

i do understand that you probably won't believe me.  i was told the same thing as above constantly by my friends for three months straight but i simply thought that they didn't understand - that what had happened to me was something different, i had reacted differently and that they couldn't see that.  but nonetheless i was going to have to live with it.  and maybe that's what i did or maybe i hadn't changed but either way -

for me, it just took time.  and as my friend kept on telling me - we all change anyway, every minute of the day, every experience we have contributes to changing us somewhat.

just don't panic, you're fine.

chjones38936.1298958333Wow..I guess some people are just more sensetive to meds than others. What do you take now?10 mg of adderall is a ridiculously small amount to even worry about. I'm very suprised anyone would have any kind of reaction to that amount. And as far as tapering the amount..haha I can't stop laughing.i did have a weird reaction to 10mg of retilin,i just went psychotic, the doc said it was because i was a high metaboliser and it stopped a day after i stopped taking them.i am now on concerta and no weird reaction

Go to a doctor. It could be about everything. Anxiety, brain tumor, other disorders etc.

Ok. for a month i have been taking amphetamine salts 10mg and taking tyleno
l pm to help me sleep at night and then one night i took pain reliever pm in
stead of tylenol pm and i got this sick to my stomach weird feeling like i w
as dying because my body felt like it was drifting. so the next day i quit
cold turkey both amphetamine salts and tylenol pm for a week which was a stu
pid thing to do so i went to the doctor and he told me how to taper off so i
did but for 5 weeks straight i have been feeling this weird out of my body
feeling like i am not fully here it is hard to explain. so then the next wee
k i went to go get a b12 injection which did help because i have more energy
to do things but its odd because when i am laying down or sitting there and
if i stare at something i will get the weird out of my body sensation. and
it scares the hell out of me. and another thing whenever it was hot inside
the house i took a cold rag to wipe my face and then i tadded my arm a litt
le with the rag and it felt like my arm was burning. it was strange. i don
't know what is going on with me.. its like my body has something wrong wit
h it . why am i feeling this out of body numb like feeling . ? its like my
body is sensitve and kind of drifting off to wonderland and im not fully he
re..has anyone ever had this happen to them before? . does anyone know wha
t this is? could the amphetamines have caused this? please anyone if u could
explain!!? i am so scared .. WHEN WILL MY BODY COME BACK TO NORMAL???!!!!
IMac38942.973599537Sounds  like something definately beyond a response to an amphetamine salts. This is similar to the post that you left August 20.  I dont believe a stimulant typically needs to be phased out like some anti depressents do.  I would definately talk to your psych. about this.  From your first post it doesnt really sound like you were taking this med for adhd in the first place. you mentioned B 12 shots, any other self medication involved? Co existing conditions occur with many ADHD people and sometimes they incorrectly diagnosed with ADHD when it is actually more deeply rooted conditions, Either way, I would doubt that is the meds that you have said that you have been of for well over a month that are giving you these problems, see your doc. and quit guessing, If you need to,  see a new doc. Good luck, hope things good better! Stay positive.

Why do you keep asking the same question?

Do you go back to the thread where you asked this question first?

I've never had this feeling you describe and I take Adderal XL 30mg and I feel great.

I suggest seeing your doctor.  I doubt if anyone on this board is qualified to answer a question like this without a medical exam.  Perhaps something else is wrong with you?

I don't normally answer questions in such a terse manner but it seems many people have spent time and energy to answer this same question in your two previous post.
