Debt and ADD | ADHD Information

I've just started working on a career change. It's helping.
As for asking parents for money, my Dad split when I was young and Mom doesn't do well enough to help.
Thanks a lot for the input.
didnt u guys know add is grounds for federal tax exemption & even in some states

Have you talked to a lawyer yet?  I think it could be an area of specialty in the legal field with so many people plagued by the student loans.

You could talk to one that specializes in bankrupticy or disability issues.

Does anybody now of any way under the ADA that a person can get help paying or forgiveness of their student loans?
I have ADD and it's made it hard for me to hold down a job. In the forgiving environment of academia I was able to struggle through and get a diploma. But in the workforce I can't seem to keep it together for more than a year. As a result, my student loans just keep getting bigger.
I'm not looking for a way to duck my responsibility. I just want some breathing room.
It's hurting my marriage. My wife and I can't start a family because of a lack of stability from my end.
I'm on a ledge with this thing.
Any ideas?
Thanks
i know this sounds kinda like a bad idea but i would ask my parents for the
money.

do you take any meds?

i also am ADD,the impulsive inattentive type, only got diagnosed last month.i never had a problem with work,i used to be  chef ,i think maybe because of the pressure i just enjoyed it.maybe you need a challenging job that keeps you on your toes all the time.

Are you in the US, ADDHELL? I think that FAFSA loans and such can be deferred for at least two years based on "economic hardship" (I've deferred mine several times) and there's another reason that you can get it put off for a couple years too, I forget what its called though. You might look it up on the fafsa site. Or could you re-consolidate your loans so that you can arrange a lower payment? I hope it works out well for you.
