Great suggestion from a pediatrician!!!1. Give your little one a teaspoon of Hersheys chocolate syrup. It coates the mouth. 2. Give medicine. 3. Give another teaspoon of chocolate syrup so that they will let medication go down. This worked wonders this morning. No fighting, running through the house etc. I hope this helps others suffering from the same problem. Thanks.Won't you get cavities from that though?Medication should be given with breakfast due to the decrease in appetite once it kicks in. Simply brush after breakfast and off to school.oh ok. That would work. I never thought of that.I had to start taking pills when I was 5, and my mom taught me that if I took a drink of milk and held it in my mouth, then hold your head back, drop the pill in your mouth and swallow. I still take pills like that today. .
