Hi New here | ADHD Information

Welcome to the board.  DDs start school next Tuesday!   I'm excited for my 1st grader, and have a little trepidation for my 2nd grader with ADHD.  I hear you about dealing with friends and family.  I just choose to confide in folks who understand what we are going through.  To those who offer unsolicited advice, just smile, nod, and say "We just may try that!"   Who has the energy to start a war over every misunderstanding?  Look forward to chatting with you!Welcome to the board.Hi all, I have a DS 8 with ADHD, wow what excitment he has brought to our lives. I think the biggest frustration for me is dealing with everyone else....family, school, friends etc....if you get my drift. People seem to think it is something they can control. I could go on and on but mostly wanted to say hi. We are gearing up for a new school year at a new school and keeping our fingers crossed! Look forward to chatting. I can totally relate to what you have said.  Welcome to the board!  I can also totally relate!! My 7 year old son was just diagnosed last week with ADHD and ODD and my mother in law(we told her yesterday) thinks that ADHD does not exist and that it is all in how people parent their children. She is so uninformed so I don't bother debating with her,she never listens anyway to anyone.
