There's a section on this board entitled Alternative and Complimentary Meds.... check it out! Lots on there other than meds to help! Welcome!
sorry that you have to go through it but yes i have the same problem let me tell you my story my son went to a preschool and had alot of problems due to high ratio so after a year of stress for him i took him back to his old babysitter who keeps 5 or 6 kids and does great with her and fine with me but the only thing is thats there not as structured and gets to do their thing like playing then when they are in school its structured and organized which caused alot more problems on him now he is looking at prep school to help him with his adhd with smaller classesWe went to my dad's place for Christmas when Brandon was 6. Various relatives were visiting. My aunt is a retired RN. She didn't think Brandon had ADHD. He was acting excited at times but not too bad. We kept him very busy. My uncle's girlfriend has ADHD and thought Brandon did have it. Her daughter(who I didn't meet) also has ADHD. I mentioned to BRandon Paediatrician that some of my family members thought he didn't have ADHD. His response was that school is a different environment from home with different expectations. Brandon is 11 now and medicated with a low dosage of Ritalin on school days only.
yeah,my 4 year old has what i call phases,he can be calm for some periods of time so i thought that it meant he did not have ADHD but his doc said that it was normal,he compared him to a butterfly that flutters all the time, well sometimes they need to rest,to recharge their battery.
also when my mum came he was a perfect angel, hyper but not as over the top as usual.again the doc sais that it was because my mum was a calm person with an air of authority so jude was reacting to her
Another question I have, has anyone tried Attend on their child.
