I had to get 2 different prescriptions and go to 2 different stores to have them filled. I got the 54mg at one store and the 18mg at another - wierd!!!
My store is going to stock the 2 different mg's for me in the future!! I will let you know next week if I see a difference in the dosage.
I asked my doctor if maybe he thought I was expecting too much from the medication and he said NO, he sees a difference. I do see a difference also, I just want to be calm like other people I see!!
I think the increase will only help you. When i was on concerta I wasI went to the doctor today and he increased my Concerta to 72 mg!!! I will take the increase in the morning and see how it goes. He told me I could increase up to 108mg if I needed to!!!
I thought that sounded pretty high!!!
We talked about firefighting in the summer compared to paperwork and other crap I do in my life. I told him I was totally focused in the summer firefighting but not everywhere else in my life. I told him the 54mg was lasting about 7 to 9 hours. He hyped me up talking about firefighting and then changed the subject so fast to paying bills and paperwok and school starting with the kids - it kinda threw me and I didn't think it was right!!!
I thought adhd people were supposed to be able to switch thoughts on a dime - I was never good at that!!
i'll have to have a look but i think i read in a book that it is hard for ADHD people to switch tasks and thoughts.
i know i can't multitasks and my thoughts are always kinda muddled.hope the rise helps,i am going back next monday and i think he is going to up mine as well.
I guess you are right - it makes me wonder if the doctor did it on purpose? I should have asked him, but I didn't think about it until a lot later!!

i think as far as switching thoughts on a dime, it isn't necessarily a controlled switch but one that's impulsive!!
I would like to be killin a fire right now!!! Instead I am in the office at my desk using my time consrtuctively as you can see!!!
I am on a conference call talking about fire business management!!!
Hey scotmama or others,
Have you ever got a killer headache after you medication has worn off? I increased the dose yesterday and did not notice much, but about 13 hours later I was sitting watching my daughters soccer practice and got a killer headache that lasted until the aspirin I took kicked in!!!
I don't know if it was the med increase or just my body being worn down from the fires I have been on. Maybe I did not eat enough yesterday!!
keep on killin' fires momma!!
Meh, I wouldn't worry.
