I read numerous posts about the Omega3 & then went & did some searching on the web & read some reports.
My questions are: Which brand are people buying? Because one site I read said beware of grocery & health food stores as they may have high mercury, etc.
Then: What is the dosage that people are using? My son is 8 & weighs 44lbs.
I could ask the doc., but I have a feeling that he will just look at me & not take me seriously - you know Western medicine is King....
Try reading the Omegas Latest Research thread in the Alternative to Medications section of this message board -- it gives dosage, etc. As far as brand, you want something listed as "pharmaceutical grade" -- again if you look on that thread you will see that we are all using different kinds -- you'll just have to figure out what is best for you. Welcome to the board!MegMaguire38945.7287037037It takes an average of 6 weeks to see the benefits of Omegas. Some people give them along with meds, some people just give Omegas. Its really up to the individual.Just to clear up a misconception: it is a federal crime for a doctor to receive kick-backs from any supplier.

Thank you!
How did you start with the Omega3? Did you stop the prescriptions meds all together or did you slowly phase in the Omega?
Our favorite is Coromega. www.coromega.com It comes pre packaged in handy envelopes and it is a pudding type supplement. We use the orange flovored one and we squirt it directly into our mouths, but you can also mix it with yogart, ice cream, etc. What we love about Coromega is NO fishy after burps like we had with the capsules of fish oil. We also love the convenience of just being able to throw a package into my purse and use it on the go if we need to.
We use Coromega in addition to medication, educational supports, and therapy.
