SO I WANT TO PUT MY 4 YEAR OLD SON WHOS IS ADHD,ON FISH OIL/THE OMEGA 3,6,AND 9 AND USE MELITONIN FOR AT NIGHT,,BUT WHO TELLS ME HOW MUCH OF EACH CAN A 4 YEAR OLD GET IN ONE DAY??

I JUST DONT KNOW HOW MUCH TO GIVE HIM AND OR IS IT SAFE ..AND DOES SOME OF THESE THINGS COME IN LIQUID FORM?

The thread MegMaguire refers to gives the dosage.I just started my son (11 yrs old) on Omega 3/Fish Oil. I read that there has not yet been research to indicate the proper Pediatric Dosage. I gave my son 1 less pill then what was recommended for an adult. My husband takes 3, so I give my son 2. No rhyme or reason, I just couldn't find an exact answer either. The pills are huge, but fortunately my son is a good pill taker and didn't have a problem. I did, however, stop in to GNC today and found a Children's formula of Omega 3. It's called Children's DHA made by Nordic Naturals. The pill smells and tastes like strawberry and is very small. It's a round soft gel about the size of a pea. The bottle of 180 pills costs around .00. It says on the bottle to give your child 4-8 a day, and the pills are 250 mg each. I did find this exact item online for around the same price, but like I said, I was able to pick it up at our GNC Vitatmin Store. I hope this helps. I havn't heard one negative thing about the Omega 3, and because of the fact that it's so healthy for many things, I don't think we have anything to lose. Good Luck!
sandi777; nice to meet you too. It's still too early for me to tell. I don't see a difference yet but it's only been a couple of days. My son is also on Adderall, so the change won't be drastic, he's getting the drastic effects from the Adderall. Plus, he hasn't started school yet and the true test will be then.
