Conners Rating Scale Question | ADHD Information

Share

Hi Kelly,

Your daughter sounds exactly like my youngest. I kept telling myself she would mature.  We had a long journey through diagnosis to get to a diagnosis that we our pretty confident in (ADHD, learning disorders, anxiety, depression and ODD). This is so important before you start any medical treatment. I would also recommend Ogram's Marble system for positive reinforcement behavior modification as mentioned by NoTellin. It has worked very well with my daughters.

and i am giving  him  melitonin for  his  sleep issues ,it seems to  be  helping  him a bit ,but hes still so  distruptive  in school his teacher says  shes ready to  pull her hair out ..so  im looking  into  with  my county i live in to  match him up with  a prvider thats  caters to  special needs children and  looking  into  SSI benefits for  my son in CA...it takes time ..be patience and  talk with your  pediatric doctor  they are where you would  first start....good  luck and  happy chatting

Some of the behaviors that you list are not really ADHD. The Conner's Scale is totally subjective and is not a valid stand-alone way of dx ADHD, IMHO. You can have a number of disorders, and that form would say you've got ADHD. It also does not identify co-morbid conditions, and 50% or so have a co-morbid condition. I would suggest a very thorough evaluation (not via a regular pediatrician) with a neuro-psyche, behavioral pediatrician, or psychologist that specializes in educational testing.

In the meantime, you might want to check out the Marble thread which describes a great reward system. I'm betting that you can improve some of these behaviors with it.

Welcome!

Co-morbid means conditions that may commonly be seen with other disorders.

Eg: Many children with Tourette Syndrome also have ADHD and OCD, so those are listed as possible "Co-morbid" conditions to TS.

Best of luck w/ your DD.

MamaBear

Thanks so much for your replies! I will try to locate a Neuro-Psyche today.

OK,I guess I prefer "different" to "special needs". She is different and she is unique

Thanks again! Now I have the first step to accomplish.

BTW: What does co-morbid mean? See? I'm totally new....LOL

Thanks again....

OK,that was my next question, after looking for a neuro-Psych,I couldnt find one so I will call our Childrens Hospital first thing in the morning! It's about 45 minutes from us.

Right now,my husband is in the kitchen with her going over school work. She just doesnt get the basic addition and subtraction. It's hard for her and us. We know exactly what to do,but her little brain is trying to push it aside and doesnt comprehend it. It's simple, simple math. She's already threw a fit, cried and then asked for help again.  I just get so frustrated inside.

What about natural remedies if this is ADD/ADHD or something else/combined? I went ahead and made an appt. with a Chiropractor and she's going to adjust her, test her allergies and muscle reflexes. She also talked about sacralcranial(sp) therapy. Wondering if it's worth it. We're also cleaning out the cabinets of junk and trying to buy more natural and/or organic food and adding vitamins to our daily diets. Has anyone else tried this?

I'm so glad I found you guys,I look forward to reading your posts, they've all been so helpful. I appreciate the warm welcome,My husband and I felt so alone starting this process.

You could be dealing with a learning disability.  I believe having issues with math is called dyscalculia.  May want to Google that for more info.  Again, have the school test her and get services if need be.  A neuropsychologist tests for LDs also.Hello and welcome.  I agree with the above.  First you have to find out what you are really dealing with.  Maybe it is ADHD, maybe there are comorbid conditions with it, or maybe it is a learning disability, or who knows what.  You can also request that your school also do an eval in order to get her services, if that is what she requires.  But you need an independent eval because it is more thorough than what the schools do.  We used a neuropsychologist for cognitive functioning and also a developmental pediatrician to prescribe meds.  Good luck!I just want to say I agree with the folks who posted above. Check with your closest Children's hospital for a good neuro-psyche. Even if it is a couple hours drive you will never regret the choice. The sooner you find out exactly what is going on with your child the sooner you can put her on the right path. Good luck and a big Welcome to you.

First off,I wanted to introduce myself. My name is Kelly and my 8 year old daughters teacher and I did a Conner Scale rating questionaire last March and it did come back that my daughter had a strong possibility of ADD/ADHD. I didnt go further with it because I was in denial and have been since her odd behaviors starting around 3 years old.

Should I consult her Pediatrician or a form of counseling due to these major factors:

She's forgetful, vindictive, talkative, defiant, argumentative, struggl es in school, doesnt stay focused, hyper, quick to blame, clumsy and "just doesnt get it". Meaning, how the real world works. Sometimes I feel like I'm dealing with a 3 year old. When we go into a store, she grabs everything! She always has to be touching something and while we were in a Health Food Store the other day,she knocked off a bottle of oil.

We have noticed this for awhile, that she's "different" but always blamed it on her age,"Well, she's 3,4,5,6,7"Etc. I know too well, that kids' will be kids',but us as parents know that something is off somewhere and that somethings just not right. I see her with kids' her age and that justifies my cause for concern, along with the rating scale, her outbursts and beyond.

Sorry this is so long-winded for my first post, but I need to know where I can go with this from here...right here..right now. I'm ready to tackle this and do everything I can to make life easier for her and our family.

Theres not a quick fix and I realize that, but if anyone has any opinions, books, ideas or anything to share that will help me help her...I'd appreciate it.

If you go read this whole post..Thanks.

She can be such a bright, sweet, intelligent little girl, but when I look into her eyes,I really think she's calling out for my help.

I'm so pleased to have found this place! I've been reading alot of posts and it shows how much you all care about one another. I think I'll learn alot.

Hi Tired Momma of FOUR! (you deserve the name more than me I only have two!)

Here are some good books re. the ADD aspect, though of course theres usually more to our kids etc but these are helpful:

ADD-Friendly Ways to Organize Your Life ..(I need to learn how to help him be organized)

Delivered From Distraction

All Kinds of Minds (VERY GOOD RE KIDS/LEARNING)

The Gift of ADHD

Attention Deficit Disorder-A Different Perception

I honestly went thru a phase where I said HEY this ADHD is  GOOD thing, he is so special and can be totally successful etc

THen I went thru a bad phase and became so tired and hopeless...

I am now reading "Emotional ALchemy" and realizing I need to work on myself alot in order to help my son. He WILL be fine and succeed but I need to be patient on a daily basis. DONT be hopeless, be mindful (easier said than done)

Anyway, sorry to ramble, gotta run but you will make it thru and so will your child! I order books off Amazon and continue to learn...one day at a time:)

Wornout,

Thanks for the link. My daughter would have fun with those,so instead of Nick.com,barbie.com and all the rest,I'll pop in something educational. I'll also check out the native remedies.

Lillian,

My friend told me the same thing,so I guess it's time for me to go easier on myself, huh? Thanks.

OK,off to find a neuro-psych. I've been running around like a chicken with my head cut off today..ugg.

Vickie,

Wonderful! I love the idea! I think this would be beneficial!!

We do have a rule chart posted so the girls' can plainly see it.

I told them each task they do they'd get .00 /task..After I said that,I was thinking how drained my pocketbook would be! LOL.

My 8 year old comes home from school, gets a snack, does homework and cleans up her room. The first day of homework yesterday was like having her sit down and do algebra. She had to subtract 799 from 1,910 and if she can't get the basic math, how in the world will she catch on to this? She throws a fit and says we're yelling at her??!! I do talk loud, but we're trying to explain, not yell at first, then it turns into a yelling match. I get upset with myself! I wish I had more patience with her. I'm trying.

I believe the marble system will be great for her to try and contain herself while we're explaining . I hope. Maybe then she'll know that she is working towards something and she will be able to see that sitting and listening without fits can be more fun.

I was in the homework battle situation last year.  I was incredibly stressed out about it.  Maybe you should end the homework battles between you and her.  You are her mom and not her teacher, after all.  You shouldn't have to teach her how to do the math.  Hire a tutor to help her with homework.  Your school counselor should have a list of names.  Or maybe an older child who could help her.  Also, let her teacher know what is going on at homework time.  I would say to just bag the homework for now.  It isn't worth destroying your relationship over.  Really.

In our situation, my dd has an IEP.  I told them at the last two case conferences that I didn't want her to bring homework home, and that I wanted her to do homework at school, if possible, due to the major damage it was causing our relationship.  Well, of course they didn't agree with me, but lo and behold, her new teacher this fall doesn't give much homework.  In fact, she hasn't gotten any homework sheets 2 weeks into the school year so far.  But she has had spelling words and a project to do.  No homework battles for us so far!  I am so relieved, you cannot believe it.  Oh, yes, and we have written into the IEP that her homework load will be reduced from the rest of class.  I'm totally OK with that.

Hi,

I did the same thing with the "shes only 3, shes only 4 shes only 5" ! Now hes 10 and I'm over it. He is different and as a psychologist said to me, he is gifted and talented in his own ways, (and he truly is!) BUT for now, the system (school) is the system so we now need to find out ways so that he can function within the system...

We first went to a pediatric neuro psych guy but he only offered meds --after 2 years i realized we needed more, not meds but behavioral ideas, cognitive therapy...we had another eval, found a woman who worked with kids like him and focused on behavioral issues and steps to take. one on one.... Now we also joined a social skills group with a wonderful guy and 10 other kids where its really opened his eyes. I have TONS of books and will post some titles if you like (I gotta get them to school) but anyway, I"ve also been reading about mindfulness, this has been a HUGE help and I know will help my son if not immed, eventually--he does a "mindful minute' (meditation) with me in the morning

Anyway, theres so much out there, CHADD also, she'll be fine, its not easy but with moms like us they'll succeed! :) They are gifted and its ok to be different! ok i'll quit rambling!

I will check out the other board for natural remedies..Thanks..I didnt see that. Your right,I will wait until she's diagnosed and we can go from there.

Homework: Thats exactly what my husband said! He said we're here to parent, not teach..we can help her with homework, but the person explaining it and how it works should be her teacher. I totally agree. If she can't do basic addition/subtraction...How is she going to do multiplication this year. She had a math tutor last year every Thursday and they'd do homework together...I felt like a ton of bricks were lifted off my shoulders on Thursdays...I was acting like I was in school and saying' Woohoo,no homework today" LOL.

Homework is a huge struggle. In our school district they don't teach regular math..it's called connected learning. It's hard, even for myself and hubby. The teachers last year held a meeting about the new program and told us parents that however we were taught to do math is long gone,it's a whole new ball-game. Great.just great.

I read some paperwork this that a school Counselor sent home with my daughter and boy, does it ever explain how my daughter presents herself and all of the "signs/symptoms"  were right on! She doesnt do the "head knocking" (yet)but she does everything else on that list. It was like that list was made by watching her actions. Her individual report.

I'm calling the Neuro-psyche today......I do appreciate all the feedback.

Tired Momma(Love your name)!! We were posting at the same time..sorry..I didnt leave you out intentionally.

I'd also like to join an "in person" group. Yes,any books you can recommend would be super! It seems like thats all I do anymore when I have a minute to myself.

I'm asking myself..is this add/adhd,anxiety,depression,autism..or a combo..I just wish I knew. What is it??!! Did I do something wrong? Did I not nurture her enough when she was younger?

It hurts my heart when she says she hates me or says she doesnt like me. I love this child dearly and would give my own soul for her. She has everything a child could want. Material things, love, affection,a great home and family who worship her...Why does she hate me??? I don't understand. . She even told her 12 year old sister that she wanted to kill her. OMG! Sometimes I wonder what she really is capable of doing when she gets mad. I swear she has split personalities.

Off to run errands and make a ton of phone calls.

we have chosen to go with a natural approach. www.nativeremedies.com and we ordered the focus adhd formula, it's drops and you put it in juice after breakfast and dinner. no miracels have happened here yet but it does say give it about 6 weeks. so we are. we also watch what he eats. he's also 8. does not have a problem learning at all. he's very smart and is in 3rd grade, we are blessed that he loves school and doesn't have a problem with math, etc. we got all of those programs for learning on the computer though like jumpstart and reader rabbit cd's and it makes learning fun. maybe this would help your daughter in math. is math the only problem she has trouble with? the reason i'm asking is because girls have a tendency to have more trouble with math than boys do. our son is in an all boys class and they also have an all girls class; reason behind this; testing. they say, our son 's school that girls are better at reading and boys are better at math. haven't a clue what they're doing but my son loves his class and his teacher. i do have a link to a better place that's not as costly for learning cds. here it is: http://www.learningcompany.com/products/H39137.jsp[QUOTE=1TiredMommyTo4]

This is not your fault!  I dare say most of us parents have been down the "What is This?" road.   Why?  Because it's hard to tell with young kids.  Many professionals get it wrong.  As the child ages, I think it becomes easier to diagnose because the child is more capable of expressing his/her feelings and discussing the challenges he/she is facing and because the patterns of behavior have been observed for a longer period of time.

Many hugs your way, and hang in there!

Welcome to the board... you asked about "natural remedies" -- there are many good/helpful posts on the section of this board entitled "Alternative and Complimentary Meds."  I'd recommend the Omegas, Latest Research thread first and then maybe the Magnesium thread.... you may want to wait until you get a diagnosis, but it wouldn't hurt to start researching your options!

Thanks! The only book I have now is the ADHD/ADD diet. More less natural approaches. I read 89 pages in 2 days-that shows how wonderful it was,now I'm ready for more. I love to read in bed when all the kiddos are asleep. I never thought in my wildest dreams I'd like to read these kinds of books..but their actually interesting and makes me want to change the way I live and eat too. My husband even said he'd  even eat organic/natural foods.

OK,time to get some more mulch put down..it's so beautiful outside..not too hot anymore.

Neuropsychological testing showed the visual processing was low.  We didn't have teting done until he was 16, altho he started on meds in second grade.  Having a special ed background helped me in tutoring to his needs and providing interventions which helped him progress.  The information from the testing did not surprise us in the least, it just explained why he had these problems.  The evaluator was amazed that ds has done as well as he did in achievement tests considering what he was dealing with...ADHD,LDs in Reading and Writing, and dysgrahia...he is also gifted (or borderline).   Testing was never recommended for ds because he was doing well in school, but looking back, I should have done it earlier so that teachers would have had a better appreciation for what he was dealing with.

Tutoring...does your dd have a favorite spot to do homework?  Ds had a few...we'd sit at the dining table, the couch or his bed.

Good Luck! let me know how it goes!

Took my daughter to the Chiropractor yesterday and learned a TON of things about her!

First off: She had 2 mis-aligned vertebrae in her back and her Atlas(what connects to the skull and vertebrae) was locked together with the second vertebrae. She was complaining in the past about her neck being sore/stiff,and was always holding it,but I though"yeah right". I feel SO bad I didnt believe her! The Chiro said she was glad I brought her in because that did have to hurt and it took her a long time to get them to release.

She found that she has high yeast also. We have to modify her diet and cut out anything that turns to sugar in the body or sugar itself. I have a no-yeast diet that the Dr. gave us/

She put her on Min-Tran and Omega 3's. We started this morning, along with my journal. I'm starting to keep a log of behavior, vitamins, treatment and therapies.

She goes back Sept. 5th to get a food allergy test and might do sacral-cranial therapy.

The Chiro wanted to copy the front cover of the book I took in. I read it in no time flat. She said she'd never seen that book before adn wanted to buy it for her office. "The adhd/add diet"

We're also going to start her on PCA-RX (Toxin removal and cleansing spray. Can't wait to start that too.

Well, thats that. We're done with step 1. Many more to go.

Good luck with the therapies!  Let us know how they work! It looks like you have gotten a lot of great advice here and that you are on the right path toward figuring out your daughter's needs.  I have a suggestion on homework which might help if you haven't done it yet.  When tutoring ds when he was young, I discovered that he had a difficult time visually tracking and attending to one item on a page.  I figured out various ways to help him focus on the page.  Years later we found out that he has very low visual processing scores.

Sometimes there is visually too much stuff on a work sheet for them to easily focus on one item.  If it is math, copy the problem on a separate sheet of paper to help visual focus and reduce pressure to perform.  Cover up the left hand columns so that she only sees the right hand column to identify which number is larger or smaller and decide if she needs to borrow or not.  Have manipulatives available if she wants.  Slowly work step by step exposing only the part of the problem she needs to focus on.  It keeps it simple.  If she likes you can do the writing for her.  When complete then do the same thing on the homework page covering up extraneous material.

Good Luck!

Great idea! How do you find yout your son had low processing scores?

My daughter has math every night except Friday(Thank God). Tonight when she gets home I'm going to do what you said and see if that helps any.

I'll post when we get done and let you know how she did.

Thanks!

Well,My daughter has an appointment today at 4:45 with a Chiropractic Physican.

She will test for food allergies,re-align her spine..etc. I'm hoping she'll do the sacral-cranial therapy also.

This will be our first visit and I'm actually anxious to go since my neighbors ADHD son sees her and he's almost a walking miracle with all the therapy that she does for him. Hoping to walk out of there with a little more hope.

I did call a Neuro Psych and she never returned my call. So,I scratched her off my list and now onto someone else.

She started this new thing..when I tell her to do something(not ask)..she'll say (in the midst of me talking):

"Ok,ok,ok,ok,ok,ok,ok..I get it..you don't have to yell(when I'm not even close to raising my voice)" Or she'll say " Cool, cool, cool". Omg,it drives me insane!

Picking out her outfits in the evening for School the next day has turned into a chaotic mess...This is not a new thing, but she's back talking so much now that I'd love to take out her vocal cords(J/K..sorta)

Wish me luck tonight

Since my last post,we cancelled her appt. for  the 3rd Chiropractor Physican appt. I just didnt feel comfortable with her since she said I was talking too much and she didnt have time to test Madelyn for food allergies!! WTF??? I talked too much?? Wasnt that why I was ther so,she could get a better feel for whats going on? Then she said."well,I better check her axis t(hat was locked) real quick, for the Insurance..again..WTF?

She's still on the omega 3's and now she's on Gaba Calm. Not working like the Min-Tran...they were a God send, but now I have to figure out how to get them without seeing the Chiro Phys. Not sure if she'll just sell them to me without actually "treating" Madelyn. I'd say Min-Tran all the way,it worked great for her!

We've hit some more bumps but we keep on going. (the backtalking is what we really need to work on) She told me last night to get out of her life..Thats because I wouldnt allow her to spend the night with her friend and I made her come home.

I typed out a letter to her teacher last week and she hasnt replied at all! NO phone calls,no letters not even a quick E Mail. I was inquiring about how she was doing academically/socially and told her how she has a huge possibility of ADHD and/or other things going on.

LMSJK: What meds are your son taking?

JFla2: Madelyn sits at the kitchen table to do homework or on the couch without tv. She does it while my twins' are napping,so theres no interuptions.

Thanks again for all the replies!

Hi hun, My son takes Equasym, the list of side effects for it worried me, but it was a chance I was going to take as his problems were sever, the plus being it was the 6 wks holidays so we could watch him all the time.. In the end he got a rash on his tummy and back and was a bit clammy for about 4 days, then after that he was fine and it made a huge difference for us. (Though there are problems he has that cant be pill treated).

Anyway I'm sending tons of (((((HUGSSS))))) And hoping for a better day for you.

Take Care and good luck with finding a dr that suits you and your family - because that's whats important.

Louise

Your first post discribes my son to a T. He has ADHD but he also has other problems, including autism and a communication disorder. Since taking his ADHD meds his behaviour outdoors and in shops has improved - but we still have to watch him like a hawk and he doesn't behave like other children his age do.

ATM I'm also trying to push to get him into a special school, he's nearly 6 years old and they've threatened to expel him.

Today his behaviour got so bad they were going to send him home - I just wish there was an easy way round everything.

Anyway take care hun and best of luck with everything - we're only at the begining of it all too. .. So maybe I can watch this thread and learn a bit with you:)

Hi again Kelly, iv just read this message, but i av also sent another to your message ref, clock for you daughter. i do hope it was of some help? any way, i was once in your shoes, but not with twins,i found it really hard to cope with my son who at the time was five, and my daughter who was just 3years old, my son,who is nine now and been on meds, for almost 4years now,and was diognosed with adhd, and behavioual, problems. I went for a lot of tests and speacial diets checking on what was in the food he was eating, making sure there wasnt any (e) in the food, this went on untill he for months, and just before his sixth birthday the specilist get me a report for me to do at home and also a report for the school well his teacher at the time which was for us to fill in and post it back to specilist, and my next appointment they comfirmed what Jay,was suffering from. The weight of my shoulders when i was told that there is help out there for him was great. The specilist explained everything to me before giving me tablet form,(EQUASYM which was a small tablet and given at 7.30 in morning,5mg at first he started on three times aday.I carnt tell you how much this medication changed all our lives,But as he got older he needed a higher dose,by the time he was eight Jay was taking 15mg on morning 10mg at lunchtime, and 10mg after school, It my seem alot of meds, but belive me something that is so little really worked,Our happy life was back on track. But Jay is nearly Ten now next bithday, and the doctor has changed meds to a slow-reales form, which is called(CONCERTA XL)he is on 54mg aday but only once aday at 7.30 this works right though the day uptill its time for him to go to bed,Jay has been luckly with both meds that he as tryed no side effects at all, (he did lose a bit of weight when he very first started taking the tablets, But please dont be frightened to try medication that is given by the specilist,at the end of the day childern with adhd are pooley childern, just because your child looks ok on the out-side,no-one knows what is going on in the inside of the childs who is suffering form ADHD, BELIVE ME KELLY THERE IS LIGHT AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL, GOOD LUCK AND AGAIN LET ME KNOW IF THIS AS HELPED YOU IN ANY-WAY,AND IF YOU NEED TO E-MAIL ME ABOUT ANY WORRYS YOU MAY HAVE WITH YOUR EIGHT YEARS OLD, LET ME KNOW AND I WILL SEE IF I CAN HELP YOU AND THE FAMILY, DONT FORGET KELLY IV BEEN RIGHT WERE YOU ARE NOW, bye for now, chin up. from tinainthornaby. ENGLAND. Hi again Kelly,iv read all your messages and replys of others, and honest to god you just remaind me of me nearly five years ago, Have you heard of FISH OILS CAPUALS? i was told about these right at the very first,by my specilist right at the very start, you can also try them there are good for all,but this might do some good untill you get meds for her, teachers seemed to see alittle difference in Jay whilt he was at school, but any kind of omega3 is healther and better for all the family, Dont forget Kelly you aree not on your own, i wish i could just put my arms around you and the family and tell you its going to be ok.But you have got your other family also to concider, the twins alone are a handfull, and you oldest child of 12,and not forgetting your hubby, adha is formed in the brain, at the front and side of the brain, google search is good and if you go on images for brain in adhd, click onto pictures, there is imiges of the parts adhd effects the brain, also if you carnt manage atrip to your specilist or doctors,or who it is your daughter needs to see, ask if they do HOME VISITS, this is much easier for you and your daughter, its in her own suronding, and it must be a handfull for you when you need to take the childern with you to see who ever, Why i asked to ask your specilist for home visits, that is how i got though the first stages with Jay, but the more i got to learn about adhd, the easier it became for me to venture out,at first when ever i needed to go to local shop, everyone used to point, and talk about the way Jay was,it was so inbarising for me and many atime iv got a basket of things and iv had it with the way Jay was playing up inthe shop,iv left the shopping basket, full of thing and walked out and went stright home again.( TRY TO REMEMBER THIS,MY SPECILIST TOLD ME THIS WHEN I SAID I DONT GO ANY WHERE OUT OF THE HOUSE AND I FEEL LIKE A PRISINOR IN MY HOME BECAUSE NO MATTER WERE I WAS GOING TO GO I KNEW PEOPLE IN THE STREET,WOULD BE POINTING,LAUGHING,AND STIRING AT THE WAY WAS GOING ON,he told me this), (ITS OTHER PEOPLES IGARANCE,NOT YOURS OR JAYS,JAY CARNT WALK ABOUT WITH A SIGN ON HIS BACK SAYING EXSUSE MY BEHAVIOUR WHILE IAM IN YOUR PRESENCE BUT IV GOT A.D.H.D. AND CAUSE IV NOT GOT MISSING A LEG OR A ARM, I AM STILL POORLY,NO-ONE CAN SEE WHERE I AM POORLY,BECAUSE ITS INSIDE. MY BRAIN. After the speilist told me that each time i ventured out thee house i would say to my-self, the words that he told me,I did feel better about taking Jay out, instead of stuck in the house all the time, Kelly have you also thought your Daughter might have DISLEXEA? like have you looked at her school work and say maths, the numbers were changed around like 7 would be oppisite and number 5 or a 2 is wrong, and handwriting, letters like s or b z, she might have this also,Jay has, he dosent see what is wrote infrout of him only what he thinks in wrote there, also the same again when counting, see numbers so different to our eye, ie the other day we went to sports shop, and he wanted these traines for p.e. at school,i asked how much are there on the ticket Jay,reply he said was 19.99pounds, when we got the till they were 70.00 pounds(SORRY ENGLISH MONEY)that was what he thought it said on the tag,he did get them thou, but even little things like that is a problem people carnt see,iv heard childern call him names cause of this but Now it gose over my Head,I dont let it be a problem no more,   i hope i havent gone on and on but i thought id learn abit of what i went though, sorry if iv bored you. Any time day or night you are felling down,e-mail me and ill see if i can give you a little help to pick yourself back up, if you would like to. you are not on your own Kelly and all the Family, regards to all, tinainthornaby.

Louise: I've never heard of Equasym. I'll have to check into that. Theres so many things out there right now,it makes me dizzy. LOL. Glad it's working for him, thats great!

tinainthornaby: My daughter is taking omega 3's. She takes one with breakfast and one with dinner, along with Gaba Calm 3x's a day. But I still prefer Min-Tran to the Gaba Calm.

Not sure about the Dyslexia. I've yet to hear back form 2 Neuro-Psychs I've left a message with about testing/counseling for ADHD (and more). I need to contact more and throw away the numbers of the ones who havent called back. I didnt know they did home visits. Interesting. Madelyn does twist words and numbers around.

Thanks for your heart felt post, that means alot. Sometimes I do get so overwhelmed with everything, but I won't let it get me down.
